Used-Laptop.ccLooking for a Used Laptop?Whether you are looking for a used laptop or information on a used laptop there are a multitude of sites that give some great information and sources for information. For example if you are looking for tech support for your used laptop we have collected a vast amount of links that relate to a variety of manufacturers. I do, however like several pages on the web that relate to used laptops. I found this page very good. The Laptop Extra used laptop page, this page gives an opinion about used laptops as compared to buying those cheap new low end laptops that you see in the electronics stores. I find that page really good and will not go through the same thoughts here. I would like to give a new viewpoint that should help in the process of looking for a used laptop or information regarding a used laptop. The idea that I want to talk about is exactly what should be considered when looking to purchase a laptop -- any laptop whether it is used or new. Some people that that you should buy the latest technology with the latest software and the biggest hard drive with the largest amount of memory. In fact most any computer technician will advise you to do so. Yet 90 percent of everyone that purchases a laptop does so to be portable and to surf the internet and collect email while on the road. Guess what -- You can do that with a very low end 5 year old laptop. That is right spending $2000 on the latest technology is wasting your money in that you will not be utilizing it. Think of it this way. If you wanted to buy a hammer to hang pictures in your house would you spend that largest amount of money on a fancy pneumatic hammer or would you consider spending much less on a manual hand held unit? The answer is obvious. So if you purchase a tool based on the need for that tool. Why wouldn't you do the same thing for a laptop. After all it is only to tool that does a very specific thing. Plus in most cases you most likely have a very beefy desktop on your desk that would do the job you are looking for. So my advise to anyone looking for a laptop should evaluate the job you want to use it for and buy accordingly. Put the rest of the money in the bank for a rainy day. |
